Boxes in the Basement is the very promising start to the The Inn at Holiday Bay cozy series, which thus far has 18 books.

Abby Sullivan buys a property with a large house in Holiday Bay, Maine, after suffering a devastating loss. She plans to turn it into an inn.

We are introduced to several characters which I hope will continue to appear in later episodes. I had fun with this book and plan on continuing the series.

The thing is although I hadn't planned it, this book and When the Stars Go Dark, had many similarities. Both of the protagonist had tragically lost a child and moved away to recover. I think both lived in the Bay Area. Both were about missing women.
