Since your bonus pick was just a third book from your list, your three picks for January are: Blueprints by Barbara Delinsky and Murder at Longbourn (An Elizabeth Parker Mystery, #1) by Tracy Kiely plus MacArthur Park by Judith Freeman . Hopefully you end up liking them all, or if you're like me, all the ones you finish during the month, at least. ^_^

Ooh, thanks. Seems like a random enough combination that my book-adhd will be happy, even when it gets super bouncy. ^_^

Michelle | 1602 comments Completion Post

Vampire Bound Book One (Vampire Bound, #1) by R.A. Steffan

Book - Vampire Bound: Book One
Author - R.A. Steffan
Date Read - 1/18/22
Rating - 3 Stars
Review - Not really an impressive story so far. I will probably read the 2nd one in which I hope it gets better. The MC is a bit flighty and the writing at times is unbelievable.

message 68: by Jess (new)

Jess (jessth) Hi Chelle! Thanks for picking out The Henna Artist! It was in my dusty shelves for months and wow, it was such an inspiring story. I did the audio version beautifully narrated by Sneha Mathan. The story was from our female protagonist Lakshmi POV, her journey was heartbreaking. Lakshmi was strong with her inspiring endurance and admirable quick wittedness. It was a really engaging book and again thanks for picking this our for me.

message 73: by Marty (last edited Jan 29, 2022 09:58AM) (new)

Marty (martymill) | 1299 comments Well, I managed to read one this time. Something of an improvement over my last few DBS attempts. Girl Reading by Katie Ward was great. I liked how the author paired art and reading together in each chapter. Also liked the fact that she started with the middle ages and took the concept through to the future. Five stars for this one.

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments Finished both my books!
