First book suggestions

Thanks so much for joining the group! I had no idea where to start with what book we should read first, and luckily Lindsay reached out with some suggestions!

These are the books she suggested:

In My Own Moccasins- by Helen Knott- “a memoir of addiction, intergenerational trauma, and the lasting wounds of sexual violence”.

Bewilderment- by Richard Powers- “astrobiologist searches for life throughout the cosmos while single-handedly raising his unusual nine year old, Robin, following the death of his wife”

Infinite Country- by Patricia Engel- a “heartbreaking portrait of a family dealing with the realities of migration and separation”

The Queens Gambit- by Walter Tevis

Lucky- by Marissa Stapley
