Another month of a total scattershot of books from all over the place. I'm not making much progress on series at all but I did make a lot of progress on challenges. I didn't keep track of how many I completed this month for what ever reason but I completed several challenges across multiple groups which felt pretty good.

Great month as always, Gord! I'm glad you're making a lot of progress on your challenges! Don't worry, you're not the only one who's not doing great on the series front lol
Not my strongest month of reading. I made some more progress on one series and I completed one of my big challenges which was nice. I felt like I read a lot but the numbers just don't reflect that.
Glad to hear you completed one of your bigger challenges! That's always satisfying to get off the list.
What'd you think of Small Spaces? I just got that one from the library!

I really enjoyed Small Spaces. It had the right level of spook for a middle grade book but could easily be ramped up with a little imagination for more hardier fans. I'm planning to read the second on this month sometime.
The numbers are messing with my head. I still don't feel like I'm reading as much yet the numbers seem to indicate that I am. As for challenges and series I think I'm kind of done for the year at this point. I might close a couple more challenges and I plan to finish Rurouni Kenshin this year.
Good plan Gord. Enjoy reading what you want to for the rest of the year!
Best book of the month??
Best book of the month??
There have been plenty of good reads this month. Hidden Legacy is a great series obviously. Grant County has been a dark twisted success so far. Outside of the obvious ones I'd say Hidden Pictures was the biggest surprise hit of the month. The book hooked me in with some super obvious tropes but then dropped a twist on me that I just didn't expect.
I just finished up a challenge that I've been working on now for 2 years. It feels great to finish that challenge.
It was a calorie counter challenge. You had six different groups of food with a list of tasks and points. You had to do "thirty days" of healthy eating getting a certain amount of points and doing tasks from all the food groups. It was an interesting challenge.
It does sound interesting! I can't imagine how satisfying it was to finish it after having worked on it for so long. Lol.
Not a bad month overall. Looking back over things I got a lot more read this month than I thought I had.
I had some pretty mixed feeling about Bravely. Overall it wasn't a bad book and it was a good continuation of the story but it just never really blew me away. Then there was the ending. I won't spoil anything but I wasn't a fan of it.
This was a bit of a busy month and I got a lot read. If you give me nearly three weeks off work I will end up reading a disgusting amount alright.
