I shouldn't really decide before hand what I will read next. Because every time I plan on reading a book, my mind just changes at the last moment, and I just read something else LOL.
Like, I thought I would read a book about cosmos or biology stuff, but then I saw Does My Body Offend You? somewhere, and I decided that I'll be reading this LOL.
And I'm very glad that I read this book. It was a fantastic read!

i think i read like 3-4 classics, and they're honestly great and i'm not even smart.. but it does feel really cool to talk about classics in front of people who haven't even heard of those books. it makes you feel superior and that's sometimes nice alrightt, i'm not a saint, i like bragging sometimes :)

but honestly, the thing with classics is that they use old, complex English which includes words we usually don't use for daily conversation. That language and sentence structure is not even used in the books written by authors these days.. and i think because of that, classics tend to be a slow read or 'boring' for a lot of people which leads them into believing that only smart people would understand those books and be interested in it

a lot less engaging and conversational, i have to say, and for some classics i had to learn old english structures which was ✨hard✨
and i hate (!!!) translated classics, they lose all of their magic and touch when they're translated, which is part of the reason i learn so many languages - to read these unabridged, untranslated. i haven't reached entire fluency for anything yet, but i'm close with italian and (kind of) french (it helped that i learned latin first because i can read almost any language just like that)

and i reallyyyyy want to learn russian to read fyodor dostoevsky's works, or leo tolstoy's

I think the nook title is factually incorrect.
The universe is expanding all the time, so saying that "we are just the specks of dust in this universe" is just untrue. I think we are growing smaller and smaller when compared to this massive universe. Which means, we aren't even the specks of dust. Not only that, baby galaxies are being born all the time

That's right. But I never felt that. In fact, it's quite fascinating to read the type of writing written in those days. The way words were used, the type of words used. Everything just is fascinating

you're absolutely right! so many people believe that humans are the 'center of the universe' and the theory of anthropocentrism is mainly the reason why we face an ecological crisis. but honestly, we're just a less than tiny part of this massive, constantly- expanding universe

it is really fascinating, that's the reason why i chose to read a few classics. i love the scenic descriptions that are described in the book back in the victorian era.. altho it sometimes may be slow, i think it's still fun reading 'em

people have a problem with everything, they don't like it if someone's bad and they don't like it even if someone's good too, their job is to talk about a bunch of manners and morals that we all should follow and later, criticize and put blame on us for following those ideals better than they did. people themselves create conflicts and they are very selfish. they can't bare to see someone better than them, nor can they bear to see someone who's backward in thinking. i don't even know if there's a middle ground for this
