one time i dropped my ancient iphone 8 that i had in 2020 in a public bathroom and it worked FINE after being submerged in water and my iphone 12 literally cries every time i drop it in the pool

please help its for a debate
so basically, say a high school has 50 parking spaces but there are 100 students who request one. Should the high school only give spaces to the top students according to their marks, or use a lottery system, etc. and why?

The thing is, if you give parking spots to only students who perform well at academics, that would be unfair right? like what about the people who are good at sports, and people who are good at creative arts?
Lottery system seems more just to me.
