I highly recommend the following:

Autumn. I know I've recommended this before; but it really is a good read. Zombies are only a backstory. It's like Walking Dead lite. More about how humans behave when SHTF.

Subject 11. It is a short novella listed under horror, but really isn't. The "subjects" enroll in a "research" project and don't understand the parameters. You don't know who is reliable, and who is not.

The Five. Robert McCammon wrote A Boy's Life; Swan Song and this book! That's it, that's the tweet!!

Carrion Comfort. I see that it has been on your TBR since 2015. What are you waiting for?? There is nothing scary in this book; just evil, devious humans with powers beyond our imagination.

All My Darkest Impulses. 4 Part series of novellas. It's more of a mystery. Nothing Horror like to me, except for the suspense. I have never read anything by Lisa Unger, and now I will.

Edit!!

Fever Dream. Is it a fever dream, or something more paranormal?? OR; is the narrator unreliable?? 5 Stars

... So, we can start here. If you need more, just let me know!! 😇😇

Thank you, I knew I can count on you. The problem with most of them is that none of my libraries carry them, except for Fever Dream, and that's a 5 stars for you, so it must be good 😉. I'll get it next.
In the meantime, there must be some great books on my TBR, I just need to find them.

Ioana | 2126 comments Last book of 2022, and another series completed. It has only 2 books, but counts as a series, right? 🤣
The Lightning Rod. I enjoyed the 1at one more, but this one was fine too. Not something that you should get out of your way to read, but it will do.

Lea (leaspot) | 3636 comments Two books definitely counts as a series! No question about it!

Ioana | 2126 comments Final summary for 2022:

83 books, 56 stand-alones, 27 in series; 30,705 pages; Average rating, 3.4

15 fiction
19 historical fiction
25 non-fiction
6 science fiction
15 mystery/thriller
4 fantasy

4 series completed

Not one of the best years, but not a bad one. I'm ready for 2023!

It better, because all 4 series I've completed this year had 2 books each 🤣🤣

Don't you have any series with only 2 books? Or series where you only have 1 book left? Low hanging fruit...

That's my trick! Yes, I completed 29 series, but 13 of those only required me reading one book this year. And another 10 only required me reading two books. :-)

I will be glad to hear your thoughts on it!

Kudos on all of your progress, too! Happy New Year

I will not promise, but I'll try to get to it this (next?) year. With no list that I can stick to and a huge TBR, my picks are random and always a surprise, even for me 🤣

I have three with one book left. There is now a new challenge for 2023 for that...

That should be at least 3 series to be completed in 2023. You see how easy it is?

Congrats on a good year of reading. 83 book is fantastic. I predict that in 2023 you'll find books that speak to you more ;) Happy New Year!
