I think I recognise need from Team Flava Flav in NRBC's Wheelathon?

Good luck with your challenge, happy reading!

Denise (derickert) | 1268 comments I read Fire & Blood this year and loved it. The LOTR series is probably one of my favorites. Wish you luck with your challenge.

The Haunting of Hill House was interesting. I've only read the first Cronin book and I really enjoyed. I need to get the 2nd.. Enjoy all of your selections.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments I've only read The Haunting of Hill House

Saar The Book owl | 75 comments @vikki: Thank you and yes, I'm participating in Team Flava Flav, but I'm not sure what you mean?
@Denise: I've started it, but I think I'm going to read GoT - series first to understand the book better. I've stopped reading LoTR in the midst of the second book. The talking trees were a bit to much, but I'm planning on rereading it.
@Bill: I've read the first 2 books of Cronin, but there's a huge gap between the 2nd and the 3rd. Maybe I'll reread to remember some stuff, but it was good. The tv - series were not.
@Desley: what were your thoughts on it?

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments I gave it 4*, read it in 2019, so would have to go back to that challenge to see if I made any comments

Sorry - don't know how I ended up typing that. It was meant to say I thought I recognised your name from Flava Flav

Emily (readerlover1995) | 195 comments Good luck on your challenge, Saar! The titles sound interesting! I might be mistaken, but I’ve heard most of The Haunting of Hill House and put it on my want to read list. If I haven’t, I will! 🐾

Lea (leaspot) | 3636 comments What a great list, Saar the Book Owl! I have read Kafka on the Shore, The Haunting of Hill House, A Little Life, and The City of Mirrors. I think The City of Mirrors was my favorite. I struggled with A Little Life, it was too heavy and brutal for me, but most of my friends list gave it 5 stars, so I hope you love it too! :-)

Saar The Book owl | 75 comments @Vikki: ah, now I understand, haha!
@Emily: thank you :D
@Lea: waw, you've read a lot of my list. A Little Life is indeed a struggle. I've started it a while ago, but put it aside.

Hey Saar!!

So glad you're here. Your list looks great, btw.

I also have the Terror on my list. That books is a monster!! (pun intended). I hope I can get through it in a decent amount of time. The author loves writing doorstoppers. Carrion Comfort was thick too; but the pacing was fast.

Zoo is very entertaining. The tv show on netflix (???) is okay; but the cgi is wonky. I wish he had written more books, because the 2 he wrote were so much fun.

Good luck and happy reading

Irphen | 33 comments Good luck Saar!
Nice list!^^ I will be reading The Hauting to Hill House as well this year, maybe you would be interested in a buddy read? In any case I'm looking forward to see what you think about it :-)

Saar The Book owl | 75 comments @Alondra: thank you. The book is huge! Did you see the series they made of? When are you planning to read it?

@Irphen: Thanks. Yes, I would love to BR it with you. I think on starting early this year, because it's part of another challenge.

Wait, there's a series!!??? Ugh. I have no idea when I will get to that book. I hope it will get finished this year, since I only completed the required 12, this past year. I may leave it for last; or I may grab it when on vacation in June.

Olivia (sigkapoli) | 43 comments Great list!

Dawn (sewergirl71) Looks like a good list! I did The Terror as an audiobook as I was driving a lot the year I read it! Don’t think I’ve read any of the others.

message 20: by Ioana (new)

Ioana | 2126 comments Nice list with lots of variety! I've read The Boy in the Suitcase, Kafka on the Shore and The City of Mirrors and liked them all. I hope you will do, too. I have a few others on my TBR so I'll be waiting for your reviews. Happy reading!
