Have you read GREAT NORTH ROAD? It’s only 1 book, one of his better ones and doesn’t require the commitment of SALVATION SEQUENCE.I actually loved all 3 books in Salvation.
There’s also the Fallers duology of “The Abyss Beyond Dreams “ and The Night Without Stars” which is pretty good as well.
MadProfessah wrote: "Have you read GREAT NORTH ROADUp until Salvation I've read and re-read everything I have found published by PF.H and would rate everything 4-5 stars. Great North Road sure is among the top ones and was my first encounter with the PI-meets-Sci-Fi genre.
The Void took me two reads to enjoy and re-reading it was amazing. Read it the first time when it was published and after The Dreaming Void I was sort of in the same position as with Salvation.
Glad to hear you loved Salvation. Now that the trilogy is complete it seems like I'll have to give it a second chance in a cozy chair with some eggnog.
Not a Christmas book but still a great Space Opera. I just finished Star Splinter: A Space Opera Adventure (Fractured Space Series Book 1)J G Cressey, Amanda Shore. I enjoyed this so much I have ordered the second in the series. I recommend this for a get-away from all the worry that we have right now. It is a great read.

I think if you like PFH (and have read everything he’s written except Salvation Sequence) you will probably like ALASTAIR REYNOLDS “Revelation Space”—I might start with “The Prefect” (now called “Aurora Rising”) before going off to the RS trilogy. Also have you tried THE EXPANSE by James SA Corey? Those are the closest space opera SF to PFH i can think of…
Thanks MadProfessah!I have read Revelation Space but The Prefect was new for me. Added to the list.
Agree that The Expanse was really good. With Prime now available in Sweden maybe I'll catch up with the rest of the seasons of the series.

Since then I have read many other authors but none is even close to his earlier series, of which I consider Commonwealth Saga the absolute masterpiece.
I am now close to finishing my worn copy of Judas Unchained for the 5th time so I ask all PF.H fans out there - should I try to pick up Salvation again or should I move on? If so - what do you suggest to read during xmas? What do you read when you don't read PF.H?
Thanks,
/Mattias
