First author must always be standard english spelling.Read more in the Librarian Manual, section Authors published in multiple languages.
Are you still working on this? Because the author as on the cover (Isaac M. Yaglom, which also encompasses I.M. Yaglom) should be added as secondary author to those books.

I fear it's something different from the other names I can add to a book, like translator, illustrator, author of foreword/afterword and the likes.
No, it's the same, just add another "author" with the other spelling and don't put anything as "role" (as if the book was written by 2 authors)Unfortunately Goodreads doesn't have a better "aka" feature to manage different spellings of names, we're forced to have 2 (or more) profiles for the same person.


The trouble is that the Italian book uses a different transliteration of the name of professor Yaglom. Is there a way to combine the books?
