Read my new book.
This article below only describes a tiny part of what the crew went through over a three day period in December 2021. Life offshore in the tropics is hard and dangerous enough without the absence of working toilets, air conditioning, communication with loved ones, effective lighting and showers, not to mention the stress and strain of mustering for over 10 hours. Don’t know what mustering is, or why it can save your life? Read away.
The sad thing is, that crew - my mates - are incredible. No one else could have started, maintained and kept such a place producing for so long, against incredible odds and under such conditions.
I could write a second volume on the stuff that has been happening during 2021. Shame and ineptitude are strong words but they describe the actions and inaction of the company who own this facility, and have a responsibility for every crew member on board.
