I read this book in middle school so it was appropriate for that age but i still remember there being a few scandalous scenes. The older man was having an affair with the girls mother all along but also did questionable things with the daughter. i remember a scene with adults drinking and playing poker, and a scene where the mother and daughter are driven in a car together with the man. there was also a house that both the mother and daughter were brought to? i think the cover was blue with maybe a picture of the hotel.
