Nic | 2 comments Would The Ascent of Money: A Financial History of the World by Niall Ferguson work? I don't know whether for this task it would be classified as about money or history?

sounds to me like it's all about money and finance - it works.

Melissa (balletbookworm) | 915 comments Would The Signal and the Noise: Why So Many Predictions Fail - But Some Don't by Nate Silver work for this task? He uses a lot of examples from the 2008 economic meltdown for what went wrong and who might have had better preditions - the GR description does touch on economics among the other subjects he discusses.

No, I've read the book and it's really not about economics or money. Good book, though.

No worries. I'd just started it so I figured it was worth checking :)

that works

Sarah | 1804 comments Would Rescue your finances work? There is no GR description but it seems from the title that it would, and there is one review with a description.

If it's ok then I'll go ahead and get it verified as an ebook for length.

Doesn't sound like it - it seems more like answers to odd questions, not necessarily with anything at all to do about money, finance, etc.

Donna M The Goodreads description for When to Rob a Bankcopy states that it is compiled from an economics blog by the authors of Freakonomics (a book specifically allowed in message 2 above).

The requirement for this post "Read a nonfiction book about money, economics, or finance. No specific genre is required, but the GR description must clearly indicate that the book involves one or more of these subjects."

How is this book exculded when Freakonomics is included?

Jukka Särkijärvi (nitessine) | 721 comments A bit of a long shot, but would Wisdom From My Internet by Michael Z. Williamson work? It's not the sole topic, but the American economy is definitely a major theme in the book.
