The Bachelor Team Challenge - Round 7 - Q&A, Tracking & Announcements

Since I've had that exact same question (although a different author) and haven't had a chance to ask, I don't feel comfortable making a call on this one. Sorry! Hopefully Kat will pop in at some point before too long and have an answer for both of us!

I need to know so I don't pester you with a lot of questions,"
Roger, not sure what Kat's response is going to be, but this is why I haven't tried to use an "initial"...
al·lit·er·a·tion
/əˌlidəˈrāSH(ə)n/
noun
The occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words.
Initials are "letters" not "words" so, therefore, I can't use them... grrr

Hi Kat
Will over be considered a small word ?

HI MKat, Just checking in to see how you are doing. Hopefully everything came together and you all had a wonderful holiday!

High-Powered, Hot-Blooded"
Hi Christina, I'm not comfortable answering that one since it it will be actually clarifying the rule rather than just being an opinion on a specific circumstance. Kat will have to answer when she has a chance to get here. Sorry!

Will over be considered a small word ?"
Hi Lea,
Sorry, but I'd have to say 'over' doesn't qualify as a small word.

Hi Donna,
Based on my understanding, Cowboy would be an adjective - as you said, describing the deputy.

Thanks For the answer Karen, hope you’re enjoying the holidays

Thanks!

I will work on the questions here, then head over to my messages and then start checking books. It won't be quick, but I'll start making a dent tonight. (Hopefully the internet keeps working, the satellite is already out.)
Thank you for the understanding! It was a lot of work, but so nice to have everyone here for a little while. The kitchen issues made for even more work and stress, but it got done. There are still problems to fix, but I just ignored them for the holiday. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and weekend! And that everyone is staying well!!

Initials are not words.

High-Powered, Hot-Blooded"
Hyphenated words will count as one word, so that would work.

Had to think those through, especially the second - I didn't even see it at first. But those would all work.

Thanks!"
Yes.

Thank you

That works.

I can't imagine having such a full house and being anywhere near recovered yet - kudos to you.
Thanks for everything you do!

I had to go looking for this, it must have come in while I was making my post about how stressed I was. And then when I came back, I only looked at the nw posts. 🤦🏻♀️ I went looking because in the new posts, no one had claimed it and I realized that in the middle of the night... I will check on this in the next little bit.

will bodyguard work for this?"
No, a body guard is not a first responder.

Hyphenated words are considered one word, so that would work.

The alliterated words need to either begin with the same sound OR the same letter. But it has to be one of those to work.
Words that can be adjectives or other parts of speech, need to be used as a adjective in the title to work for Adjective!
I've noticed a lot of modifiers being used as adjectives when they are in fact still nouns - a couple of examples in this thread. Since this was overlooked initially and it wasn't until I went down a rabbit hole to check something that I figured it out myself, I will allow modifiers to work as adjectives for this task.

I definitely think I need my school money back😅 I keep thinking it is because English is my second language, but I am a 100% certain I would not do any better if it was in danish 😉

Its surprising how much you forget of the basics from primary school! I didn't really touch on this stuff in secondary school... OMG - over 40 years ago 🤣

(Marked Men #1)?"
No, it has to be the title or author.

Just as an example (don't want to give a book away but figure this is a question other's may have). If the author's name was Bob G. Black, would alliteration still count?

Just as an example (don't want to give a book away but figure this is a question other's may have..."
Yes, I will allow an initial in the author's name.

That really doesn't work in context.

I can see the trees when I zoom in, so I'd say yes, it works. 😃
