SPOILERS Basically the government traps everyone on this Island because people are dropping dead and there is thing called the Ruby that’s a drug that enhances your performance but then it kills you and there was a kid named Quinn who eventually dies by being evaporated by a UFO thing, I thought it was called Stormbreaker but I can only find the Alex Rider one. I read it in 2020. Does anyone know if this is actually the name of this book and who the author is?

SYLO by D.J. MacHale. The second book in the series is called Storm and the third is Strike, so that could be why you associated it with the word 'Stormbreaker'.
