The Last Widow question

I've been noticing that many people who don't seem to have Karin Slaughter's books in their book lists are "liking" my "status" of putting The Last Widow on my to-read list. How is this happening? I think it could be political because what I see from the reviews is that it is a novel that includes all the politically correct narratives. Anyone else in this situation or a similar situation?
