Lilly wrote: "Golden Corral - what a beautiful name."It's the name of an actual giant buffet style restaurant in my town. I was there once, about 9 years ago. A dangerous place for the waistline! Thank goodness books are calorie free lol.

The restaurant sounds great, I would definitely go there if I were in your area, I love buffets myself. Love that you're using an actual restaurant name!
omg, I just realized my TBR list can be alphabetized!!!!! I found an author starting with X! It's not a classic but hey, I had one!
Oh wow, that's impressive. Looks like you got all the difficult letters covered already. : ) I know only a few of your titles, but your list looks interesting.
I can't remember anyone myself, right now. But Goodreads has a list for the letter U, maybe you can find somehing interesting there.
Lilly wrote: "I can't remember anyone myself, right now. But Goodreads has a list for the letter U, maybe you can find somehing interesting there."Thanks for that list, it did the trick! I chose the shortest book my library had for that author. Updike and Uris are famous and prolific, but I have no interest in reading either one.
I love Xinran, I discovered her from the A-Z challenge and have now read several books by her. I enjoyed Sky Burial: An Epic Love Story of Tibet
Lilly wrote: "Glad I could be of help : )I hope you will enjoy Undset."
Your tip also helped with letter I.

Love hearing that! Thanks.
Oh wow, you're already finished with your list. I don't know most of those books, so I'll be interested to see what your reading experience will be : )

I made sure some were quite short so I hope to actually complete the challenge!
That sounds very promising, especially as you made sure you can get all your books. Good luck with the challenge! : )
Looks like a great list. And it was a really good to make sure you can get the books without breaking the bank. Good luck!
I just read my first Elmer Kelton novel The Time It Never Rained. It was fantastic! I hope you like Wagontongue - what an interesting name! You've got plenty of time!!
I have never heard of Elmer Kelton, and I don't usually read westerns. But Cindy and Lori, you are making this genre look very tempting! I think I'll put these books on my TBR list :)
In my opinion, Kelton has an authentic edge over L'Amour, but both are tops in the western genre. Can't go wrong with either!
Terris, you might just prepare yourself for a big surprise when you read a great western!! I’ll be excited to hear what you think!!
Lori (on vacation) wrote: "Terris, you might just prepare yourself for a big surprise when you read a great western!! Should I start with The Time It Never Rained?
So I over extended myself in my first year doing challenges. So, I am concentrating on my local library's challenge until December 16, which means I won't be able to finish this one. I will be reading the leftovers next year. 2023 will have to go a little slower!

I never finish more than 3 or 4 challenges. There are always a couple more that are partially finished. It's all good. It's about the books. Honestly, I have only finished the alphabet challenge once.

I've been meaning to start the Lucia and Mapp series. Did you enjoy Miss Mapp? I've put Queen Lucia on my 2023 list.
JP, I've read the first two books in the series, and they are very entertaining and light. I think you'll like them :)
