Margo, thanks - thought it would be a good read. Will have try to fit it into next year's challenge. The colourful cover is like abstract art and difficult to know what it represents!
I thought that Janice made a mistake, because I read December 2022 monthly challenge and I wonder: waw, Janice is really early!, but then I've noticed that it is for the new yearley challenge, haha!I'm going to go for task 2, only need to find a book.
I have an amazing book in hardback that I've wanted to read for a while: Goth Girl and the Ghost of a MouseIt has beautiful purple shiny page edgings and silver metallic vines and skulls on the cover. The cover here doesn't do it justice.
Goth girl has a large feather on her tiara. The book is 220 pages long and also has a small pamphlet- book in the back "Memoirs of a Mouse" by Ishmael Whiskers. But there are quite a lot of illustrations in it too. I'm wondering if I can use it for the challenge.
I know some groups won't accept childrens' books for that reason. I'm going give you a Christmas gift and let you read it for the challenge.
I know! I'm itching to start my book as well, but I have to restrain myself. I have 4 hours in the book I'm currently reading and then I want to read my last museum challenge book before I read the monthly challenge book. Discipline!
Haha. Yes. And I already have three books on the go and two library books lined up after that, so I’ll not be short of things to read in the meantime
@Hannah: I want to read 'Outlander' too, but it's so big! What do you found of 'Wolf Hall'? I need to read that too.I'm going to read

I think I will read

They will both be re-reads for me. As it is around Christmas time and I celebrate Christmas, I like to read books like this as a reminder of life and spirituality.

"I really enjoyed Outlander. Though a big book, it kept my interest and did not seem to take all that long to read. I enjoyed the style of writing in Wolf Hall, but a more difficult read.
I cannot make up my mind what to read!I already have on kindle Ordinary Thunderstorms by William Boyd, but reviews do not seem to be great. Also have access to Osprey Reef

Well, I'm up for a buddy read if you have a date in mind. Big books read better when you're not the only reader ;) Yes, that's frequent with history books and all the names. You almost need to make a list of the characters.

Have you read the whole Outlander - series?

I have read the first 3 in the series a while ago, and would like to get back into them. Though 5th is over 1,400 pages!
I decided to read One of Us Is Next and am enjoying it so far. I hope it won't disappoint me since I loved the first book.

I'll be interested to see what you think of it.
