One aunt was from Abington maybe? It was set at Thanksgiving or Christmas, I think, and her family travels from all over and gets tucked in to sleep wherever there’s a spot. One aunt sleeps on a kitchen shelf. Title might have something like “The house on ___ street” or “Christmas on ___ street”. Colored illustrations that look sort of like Amelia Bedilia type look. House might be a row house in NY or London.

Are the illustrations: simple or detailed, realistic or cartoon-like, painted watercolors or bold graphics, color or black-and-white?

I don't believe it's either The Relatives Came, by Cynthia Rylant, or Not Enough Beds: A Christmas Alphabet, by Lisa Bullard, but you can look them up and rule them out if you want.

@Kris I read this as a child in the 90s. The illustrations were more cartoonish than realistic, but not outlandish. Not watercolor/painterly, more vibrant than that.
