Mismatch between usual form and claimed form of name

If the author prefers the longer version of the name (as would seem to be the case), there is no reason to change it. Imports under C. will need to be moved over to Caroline every so often.
Seems more efficient to request the merge, which will take care of all the issues -- for now, at least.
Most of her books appear under C. Dombrowski, as that is the form on the covers of (most) books. Of the ones listed currently under Caroline, one has no name on the cover but credited "Caroline" inside, the remainder have either "C." or no name on the cover (and "C." inside).
Caroline is the claimed profile, so no merges can be undertaken by non-Staff accounts.
Should C. be merged into the Caroline (claimed) profile, and we just need to regularly check and move remainders
- Problem - most imports will come in under C. again and need moving. NB she is secondary in a number of anthologies which are easily missed.
Should Caroline be changed to C. (by staff), and then Caroline added as secondary in the one work which uses that form?
- Less work afterwards but interferes with an author preference. Plus usually we'd go with the longer form.
Newer works all seem to use C.
