I will nominate The First Woman by Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi (the American version is called A Girl Is a Body of Water)
I nominate The Old Child and The Book of Words by Jenny Erpenbeck, translated by Susan Bernofsky. This book contains two novellas by Erpenbeck.
