I read this within last several years. It is likely book one of a series set in a fantasy kingdom with magic. The heroine is the poor relation in the castle. There is a party in the 1st chapter where all the family is killed by an evil relative and she runs. She is joins a group that is like a gladiator/fight group where she learns how to fight. The hero is the leader of the fighter group. The name of the book is like Red Queen, White Princess, or something similar because she is a lost princess that is the only one who can defeat the evil queen or her cousin. It is very frustrating to not come up with the book. Thanks for any help.

That was a great suggestion. I looked at didn’t see the book. Possible a color is not in the title of the book but I recall the “good” princess being called a certain color and the “bad” princess another color.

The entire book is her traveling with this group, learning to fight, so she can fight the new queen. I also recall she can prove the new queen killed all the family because she had some type of necklace that “recorded” the entire scene of the massacre.
