Bea I just looked up one of my CiV books The Halloween Tree and discovered that it is a Juvenile book at the BPL. So I checked the Lexile for the ISBN. It comes up 800L. I looked at the rules for this game, and it appears that I can use it. However, I am not very confident and so thought I would ask for clarification before reading it.

Yes, you saw it right - Lexile of 800 and you can claim it for CiV.

Anika | 2813 comments Just realized this is probably a better place to post my question :-)

I was afraid of this, even though I thought I’d properly researched it and since it was the edition that appears on the author’s goodreads page I thought I was good (I always thought they listed them in order of most-rated and listed the MPE edition there ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i stand corrected **just realized my mistake, that I went with the Kindle edition as the MPE, when I need to find the most popular print version, yes? I don't want to make the same mistake again...I hate having to put you mods to more work so try to get things right the first time :-/**). Would the poetry-multiple-book rule apply here? If I read the Second Series it should still fit within the parameters for dates/page count? Any help/suggestions welcome!

Elizabeth (Alaska) I'm sorry it took awhile to answer this question, Anika.

Would the poetry-multiple-book rule apply here?

Yes. We have nothing in the rules that says the rule for page counts is different for this (or any) sub-challenge, unless specifically called out.

... when I need to find the most popular print version, yes?

Yes, the most popular English language print version, not large print. The only time we use page counts from digital editions is when there is no applicable print edition.

Thank you, Elizabeth! I wanted to double check since I'd already messed up once...the thought of having to find something else to fit those slim parameters was giving me heart palpitations...(I already have the rest of my CiV10 planned and it's like a house of cards...had I lost that Dickinson slot, the whole thing would have crumbled!)
