Judas is still my favourite.
Reminds me of this excerpt from the play "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot:
“JESUS: Judas! … Judas, don’t you know what would happen the very instant you got down on your knees?
JUDAS: Why on my knees? They shoulda buried me standing up—’cuz I been on my knees my whole life! You left me.
JUDAS is slowly reverting to his frozen catatonic state.
JESUS: I’m right here.
JUDAS: I would have never believed that you could have left me.
JESUS: I never left you.
JUDAS: That you didn’t love me.
JESUS: I do love you.
JUDAS: Why … didn’t you make me good enough … so that you could’ve loved me?
JESUS: … Please take my hands, Judas. Please.
JUDAS: Where are they?
JESUS: Right here.
JUDAS: I can’t see them.
JESUS: They’re right here.
JUDAS: Where are you going?!
JESUS: I’m right here.
JUDAS: Don’t leave me!
JESUS: I’m here.
JUDAS: I can’t hurt …
JESUS: I love you, Judas.
JUDAS: I can’t …
JESUS: Please stay.
JUDAS: I can’t hurt …
JESUS: Please love me, Judas.
JUDAS: I can’t.
JUDAS is frozen again.”

Oh, my word. Everytime I see an incorrect quote from now on, I will always see Bible versions, XD
"Why … didn’t you make me good enough … so that you could’ve loved me?" Gets me every time :'(
(of course, from an orthodox perspective, it's not true, but the play shows, and accurately so, how the sin of despair works)

@Vienna, Oh, a most resounding YES! I love love LOVE The Chosen!

@Vienna, Oh, a most resounding YES! I love love LOVE The Chosen!"
Yeah! It's a play by Stephen Adly Guirgis. :) I have to warn you that it has a lot of cussing and salacious "humor" but some parts of it, like the part I quoted from, are really insightful and moving.

So far, yeah I do like it. I've only watched 5 or 6 episodes, though 😅

Ah. If I may ask, what don't you like about it? :)

In what ways do you think it is? :)
(And don't worry about that! I never get offended when people disagree with me or have a different viewpoint. I only get offended when people insult someone for thinking differently, but you're not doing that).

However, and this is to take as you will, I don't want to start a debate here, but to your comment about swearing, there are multiple examples of holy people using 'swear' words in the bible, most notably The Prophet Elijah and the Apostle Paul (the exact verses escape me now, but I can look for them if you are interested :-) ).
and as to what you heard about an apostle being misrepresented, there are two I think you might be referring to. James the Lesser was born with a twisted ankle, and therefore walks with a limp in the show, but this doesn't affect his mind at all. And then Matthew the Tax collectors dose not have an illness, but is given some characteristics, and could quite possibly (I believe he is) be on the Autistic Spectrum, and so does not always pick up on social queues, but is arguably one of the most intelligent people in the entire show.
again, this is not in anyway trying to pressure you into watching the show, but I hope this cleared up a possible miscommunication.

I've always thought Thomas was ufairly thrown under the bus! (Not that throwing someone under the bus is ever fair....)

(Sharon, I’m not being a trickster 😅 did you click the link? I found the Goodreads post that announced the launch of its IOS app. This was, of course, back in 2010. It’s fascinating in my opinion, to find the origins of things we take for granted or use regularly).

(Okayyyy.... So, I guess I can just be glad that you, representing the younger generation, already knew about the app that I use regularly. You know, it would upend the balance of my life to have you be in the dark about a piece of technology I am fairly good at using. I rely on you to help me limp along.)

(The sarcasm is not lost on me, Sharon 😅 I’m so proud lol)

(It's the technology I need help with, Stephen, not the sarcasm.
THAT I am good at.😅 It was survival of the fittest [read: best at using sarcasm] in my home growing up. I am just not good at communicating it in the written word without it coming across in an offensive manner. I try to make sure people know I am joking around by using emojis, though. Or if i am not sure how it will be taken, I just delete it and say nothing.😉)
