ekklesia (the Greek word we get ‘church’ from. It literally means ‘the gathering of the summoned/called ones, if I’m not mistaken’).
It reinforces the truth that we don’t choose to become disciples of Christ, but rather Christ calls us individually and uniquely. And then the world calls us weird and then Christ gathers His weirdos into a community and they’re supposed to go out and change the world 😅
