My pastor was just telling us last week that he literally thought as a kid that in the song where it says “And He walks with me and He talks with me…” it was saying Andy. And my pastor’s name is Andrew so he was rather confused and honoured that God had the same name as him. 🤣 🤣

Ok, I know this is off the thread, but recent posts reminded me of a conversation I had with a colleague at school. We were talking about song lyrics that got mixed up in our heads when we were kids, and I told her I used to think that a part in This Little Light of Mine was, “Hide it under a bush oh, no!” I thought it quite humorous, but she got really quiet. After a long pause she asked, “Wait, it doesn’t say that? What does it say then?”

So much for it only being kids that get lyrics messed up!😅

Okay and also me for years and years (I was 14 🙈) I sang “Days Of Elijah” where it says ~And we are the labourers in Your vineyard declaring the Word of the Lord~ I had sung it ~and we are the neighbours of Zinnial Innial declaring the Word of the Lord~
Then one day I was singing it with my bestie and she stopped midway through and gave me the queerest look. And said, “What on earth did you just say?”
I’d never actually realized what I was saying and so I couldn’t remember.
So she put the song back to the appropriate part of the song and I sang what I’d always sang and we laughed at my idiocy for a while. Especially wondering who the heck I had thought Zinnial Innial was and why was he our neighbor. 🤣
