Assh | 1 comments read this book about 10 years agoi think it's for adults it was about a race of robots who wanted to die after eternal existence but couldn't
Spoilers:
due to their coding preventing them from harming one another, and the organic race that created them was either lost or extinct so the robots were searching for their creators as if the creators allowed them to die they'd be free
Explanation: i might've gotten some details wrong but nothing too major it might be a story in one of the asimov's books but which one ? is it even asimov ?

Cary | 4 comments Vaguely sounds like The Naked Sun, but people are living in the book. The Bicentennial Man concerns a robot that wishes to die after two hundred years of service. The Last Question concerns a bored computer at the end of time answering the question, "how can the net amount of entropy of the universe be massively decreased?".
I haven't read the book you seem to be referencing but I think I'd enjoy it.
