Never read the book, though watched different adaptations many times, because I already knew the plot. But I made up my mind to read it once in my life.
I nominated this title for the group after picking up a copy at a Little Free Lending Library in my neighborhood. I haven't read anything by Jules Verne before but ever since hearing that Doc Brown in Back to the Future was a fan of this author I knew I needed to read some of his work ;)
I’m intending to join in and this will be my first contribution to this group. I’ve been meaning to read some Jules Verne seemingly forever and never got around to it. This is a good spur for me to actually do it.
This will be my first time participating in a read along with you guys! I am so excited to read this book
Welcome to the group Petar and Elizabeth! Glad you are joining in on this book. I am about half way through the story and really enjoying it so far.
I read that BBC/PBS is going to release the TV series "Around the World in 80 Days" in 2022! I'm looking forward to watching it after finishing the book.
I'm Cailee, an eighteen-year-old lass that is half-asleep and half-awake that listens to classical and Radiohead—in no particular order. I'm re-reading this book and I owned a physical copy of it. This will also be my first time participating in this group and thank you for the warm welcome. Stay safe!
This is my first time reading along with this group. I received the book 2 days ago and started reading yesterday. This is the first novel I have read by Jules Verne and cannot understand why it took me so long to do so! enjoying the book so far.

This is the Pre-Read thread for the December 2021 Classics selection. This month we will be reading Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne.
Please note that this is a SPOILER FREE discussion.
Who's planning to join in on this read? Is this a first-time read, or a re-read of an old favorite? What are your expectations in picking this book up?
