You may find it helpful to use Tineye to check the colors on your book cover. That's how I check the colors if it's not clear. You can find the directions for using Tineye here.

Nope, it can be just black, just white, just gray, or any combo thereof. I mainly added gray, because it can be so hard to distinguish dark gray and black.

yes - no colors.

again, no colors.
again, no colors.

the first two are ok. The 3d won't work - I wondered about the author name and tineye shows it as being 7.8% blue.

And if so, I'm not quite sure how pointing out the colours would work, or does it need to be run through TinEye?
Or does it need to be a cover with individual blocks of colour or a simple illustration, rather than a picture, more like.

Specify 3 colors that are found on the cover. I don't work with "by default." Ex, just made up - red and blue stripes found in the curtains, green leaves on the shrubbery.

So for this one:

If tineye just listed grays, then it's fine.

Thanks!

According to tin eye. this book has grey plus blue, pink, red, yellow and orange, so it works for book 2?
Thanks.

All per tin eye so OK?

Sure, I'll be using tineye to verify, so if tineye gives you these results, you're good to go!

Please read the Rules of the Challenge
"3. Books must have at least 100 pages to be used for points in the SRC. This limit may be referenced as 100+.
Only 2 plays or 2 books of poetry may be combined to reach the 100 page minimum."

Ooh, that looks interesting. WIll have to see if I can find a copy.

I'm concerned about the author's last name and the dot on the i in "white" since those look more pink than grey to me.
Tineye says:
31.1 %#72787cGrey
22.7 %#c7d0d5Grey
20.2 %#a1a9aeGrey
13.1 %#434549Grey
12.9 %#fcfcfcWhite
The Kindle edition

45.0 %#66696cGrey
22.4 %#d0d6d9Grey
20.8 %#a5acafGrey
11.5 %#fdfdfdWhite
0.1 %#c3aaabGrey
on Tineye, where the color bar for the 0.1% also looks pink to me, but at least that edition has a separate color code for the dot.
(I have the paperback, but I was curious whether all the covers would map the same. The images don't look that different to me.)

I would go with what tineye says, since colors can look different on the computer. Just post the tineye results and that will be fine.

The easiest way for you to check this is to use tineye. I just checked, and it only shows black, white and gray, so you're okay

Remember that magical moment when everything went from black and white to full color?
This is a two book task.
Book 1 – read a book with black/white/gray cover - no other colors on the cover.
Book 2 –read a book with at least 3 different colors on the cover (not including black, white, gray). The book may have these colors on the cover, but there must be at least three other colors.
REQUIRED: Include the covers in your post. For book 2, point out the three required colors.
