YA fantasy series where the main hero is the “chosen one” because he has a crescent shaped scar on his cheek. He also has a spiked magical sword. The story is also told from the point of view of the hero and also from the villain who is an evil wizard/sorcerer. I would have read it in the mid 90’s.

Hi Kris. I read the books when I was in middle school (so over 20 years ago) so it is possible that it was a birth mark. I feel there was more than 3 books in the series. I feel the sorcerer lived in an isolated tower but could teleport. I remember a part of one of the books being set in a large forest with a group of elves. I think the sorcerer was hiding with them, but I could be wrong on that bit sorry it was so long ago.
