Some of the "Dummies" books have multiple books in one. You can ask the library to ILL one of those. For example, Insurance for Dummies is included in this book:
Personal Finance in Your 50s All-In-One for Dummies
Clark Howard's website is a trusted source for all kinds of unbiased financial information. You can do searches and the ads are clearly marked. For example here are basic articles:
https://clark.com/health-health-care/...
https://clark.com/insurance/10-things...
NOLO books are also good resources.

"Medicare for Dummies" (2017) has used copies available from $1.50. Or, on Audible it's free if you start an Audible trial.
The newer edition (2020) has used copies from $11.77 on amazon.
Alibris has a copy of "Insurance for Dummies" for $10.99.

I would like to learn more about insurance - especially health insurance, but would not mind learning more about car insurance, home/renters insurance, etc. along the way.
I want to learn terminology, concepts, how to read and understand my Certificate of Coverage, Exceptions, Exclusions, Deductibles and Co-pay, but need it explained to me like I am five/an idiot/a dummy with no background in business, much math, etc.
I know various websites cover bits and pieces, but I find I get lost in a warren/rabbit hole of websites that are often either too high-level or only cover one specific thing.
I do have Health Insurance Today: A Practical Approach, which seems to be a textbook for students getting a degree related to insurance/business, but I'm concerned that may be too complex without taking a class that uses the text.
I know there are several books about "what is wrong with American health insurance" or issue with big pharma, etc. but I do not think that is what I want....at least not yet.
With thanks for the expertise found here.
