Let's get those nominations started for our December BOTM. With it being the holiday season, let's nominate books with a holiday theme. Any religion is acceptable as it may open our eyes to what others believe or not believe and also provides us an opportunity for acceptance of others. Remember our motto is CLEAN books. All books will be looked at for cleanliness. Let's go...

message 4: by Kacie (new)

Kacie The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand (completely clean. I read it every year on Christmas Eve and I absolutely love it)

message 5: by Kacie (new)

Kacie This Light by Jay Asher (I think it's clean. it's been a while since I read it but I wouldn't have finished it if it wasn't)

We did same nomination. Great minds are thinking alike.

message 10: by Fortissimo (new)

Fortissimo (kendra_simps) The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen.

message 11: by McKayla (new)

McKayla Brooke (soulfullofsunshine) | 117 comments Is the false prince a holiday themed novel? I’ve never read it but it doesn’t seem like it is

Idk if it really counts but the only thing I can think of is little women has some Christmas scenes in it lol I don’t think it counts but I’ll throw it out there

when_the_rest_of_heaven_was_blue (wrynn_wood) The False Prince is not a holiday novel, but it is really good.

Anna | 40 comments Maybe not a "holiday" book, but it has religious themes: In Search of Life

It has more to the series.

Shay #FreePalestine (shaythecoffeeaddict118) I second nominate The False Prince. It would even be fun if we did the full series month by month– just a thought. :)

message 15: by Anne Hutchinson (new)

Anne Hutchinson (ephalent) IDK if its Christmasy but it gives me winter vibes:
Greenglass House Greenglass House (Greenglass House, #1) by Kate Milford

message 16: by Anna (new)

Anna | 40 comments I really like the False Prince series but I don't think they fit this theme of holiday/religion. Maybe we can nominate it another time!!

I can't think of a single holiday themed book to nominate! 😆 I don't usually read those.

message 18: by McKayla (new)

McKayla Brooke (soulfullofsunshine) | 117 comments Allyson me neither. I usually read little women over the holidays because it’s nostalgic to me but like that’s not an actual holiday novel so idk lol

message 19: by Anne Hutchinson (new)

Anne Hutchinson (ephalent) Here's one that happens at Christmas time, but I could not find out whether it was clean or not:
The Wren Hunt (The Wren Hunt, #1) by Mary Watson

Elisabeth aka Elsie(Taylor's version) | 132 comments I was thinking about reading Let it Snow by John Green but I’m not sure if it’s clean.

Elisabeth aka Elsie(Taylor's version) | 132 comments If not, then I would nominate a Christmas Carol

Haha! I was actually wanting to read Little Women soon as well! Have you started it yet? Would you like to buddy read it?

message 23: by McKayla (new)

McKayla Brooke (soulfullofsunshine) | 117 comments Yes but I am actually on vacation and can’t start until December if that’s ok?
