I'm excited. :D I caught the Dash & Lily series on Netflix last Christmastime & thought it was so cute. So I knew I wanted to read this (& hopefully The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily in December) this year.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I might. I burned myself out on YA a few years ago and have only recently been making forays into the genre again. Most of my recent attempts have not been successful so I was very happy when the first chapter of this book grabbed me. I know a part of that was the way it was written - this entire book felt like an ode to language. Parts of that were literally written into the story, but much of it was just the way the authors crafted their story. For everything that I caught, I am sure fifteen other things were missed. I enjoyed the characters of both Dash and Lily and felt that neither were too twee or unbelievable. (view spoiler)

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!
Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
