Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World - Benjamin Saenz- 4 stars

If you like audiobooks, you have to listen to the absolutely wonderful narration by Lin-Manuel Miranda. I would give the audiobook 5 stars. The same goes for the earlier book, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. The 2 books are the story of 2 teenage boys in Texas who fall in love - in the 80’s, in the middle of the AIDS crisis, full of homophobia. There are some wonderful side characters of family, and in this book, friends. There are other very serious issues in both books but overall, they are so affirming of life and love. The target audience is YA but I loved both of them.
