I've got it bad myself....Shelf, shelf!! I've had to remind myself twice today that it's only Tuesday. :(

If I'm reading Judithe's handy dandy spreadsheet correctly, assuming everyone gets caught up on reading, there are 3 potentially winning shelves this week.Team 2: Yellow-Orange
Team 4: Witches
Team 13: Armed & Ready
Lots of possibilities left for the rest of us!
Shelf!
Once there is a winner how long is it until we have another round? I've found I'm quite addicted to this..lol

Kim wrote: "Once there is a winner how long is it until we have another round? I've found I'm quite addicted to this..lol"It depends...a few weeks to a few months. It depends on how busy the mods are. :)
I've been thinking, Steph, and I don't think all this waiting is good for my (or anybody else's) health. Constantly coming back to this page and hitting the renew button leads to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Constantly turning my head to see "What time is it now?" leads to a stiff neck and eventually a headache. It's hard to quantify the damage done to my psyche due to worrying over what the next shelf call will be, but I'm sure there's an anxiety disorder out there that not only fits, it has my name on it. And finally, the constant pacing as I whine "shelf" is either annoying or worrying my co-workers. I'm not sure if I've convinced you yet, but for my sake and theirs, can we get a Shelf? Please? Pretty Please? ;D

Steph, waiting is bad for my health.
Kim wrote: "Once there is a winner how long is it until we have another round? I've found I'm quite addicted to this..lol"I'm glad you're enjoying it, Kim! As DG said, frequency of rounds varies. As of right now, I can say we will be hosting more rounds this year, but not when or how many. :p
LMAO! Oh, Daffodil, how I love thee. :D Shelf is on the way ... patience, my sweets.
Thank You! My co-workers thank you! We all thank you! That's we in the community sense, not in the I have more than one person inhabiting my mind sense.

Lol...y'all are so funny. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's on pins & needles until the next shelf call. Glad to hear about more Bingo Challenges. I would have never thought I would enjoy this as much as I do.

Daffodil wrote: "I know it's early, but .... Shelf!I'm really hoping Mr. Randomizer is nice to me this week, because I finally picked up
tonight."I have been waiting to read this the entire game! just got it from the library on Monday and have been REALLY patient in waiting for this week's shelf. Glad it worked out :)
I'm curious, have we ever collected data on the most read book/author/series during a round of BSB? I'd be interested to see those results.

Daffodil wrote: "I'm curious, have we ever collected data on the most read book/author/series during a round of BSB? I'd be interested to see those results."And to add to that...has anyone taken any stats on just how quiet it gets on the SOS group once a shelf has been called?
LOL. Not as far as I know, but that's a good question Daffodil.AH, the whole group tends to go quiet when Bingo is on, except for the group threads. And yes after the first flurry when a shelf has been called, everyone is off reading or RL is intervening to stop reading. LOL.
Daffodil wrote: "I'm curious, have we ever collected data on the most read book/author/series during a round of BSB? In addition to book/author/series, I'd be curious about freebies, first in series, first time authors, year published...I could go on...

LOVE IT! Great suggestion/question/idea, Daffodil! Go, Vivian! I love that pic, Nichole! Nerds Unite!

And just maybe we can throw those stacks of stats out at publishers and maybe...they could provide a nice little prize of books for our winners????

As I loved Daffodil's idea of the stats, I've started compiling the records.I've analysed 276 books read and there is a clear winner, so far. Not telling you what it is yet as I don't want to skew the figures.
But you are free to have a guess :D

That would be an interesting Bingo Recap post.
Oh yay Sandra! That means I don't have to do anything but sit back and look at the results once they're in lol.

I'm glad someone took the idea and ran with it. Thanks Sandra! Can't wait to see the outcome. It started with me wondering how many people have read
this round. I know I was envious every time someone mentioned they would be reading it. Green is not my color, so it's a good thing I was able to read ViS for the latest shelf call.

At this time, with a couple of shelves to compute - ViS is running a very close second to our mystery book :D
