All I really remember is that she (he? I think it was a girl but could be wrong) never did anything wrong but now was acting out(?) I distinctly remember a line like "the principal blew his nose and wiped his forehead with his handkerchief in that order" and the MC thought it was disgusting.

Also they knows random science facts? They talk about how if the sun explodes the Earth would still have 8 minutes of sunlight.

I read the book during my Frindle phase so I probably would have found it in the same section of the library.
