Announcement Regarding Messages from the Moderators

In response to a vociferous outpouring of concern from moderators of many different groups, Goodreads recently modified their policy on broadcast messages from moderators to all group members and will now allow us to send messages to all of you, regardless of your settings. So if you want to minimize personal messages from non-friends, you may do that, but you will still receive the “newsletter” type messages from Shel, Chris, and me as your mods. These include the monthly welcome messages, the notifications that nominations are open, the notifications that polls are open, and the like. We try to limit the number of messages we send each month, while still being diligent about keeping you informed.
