This is a series, this kid, I think a boy, named Cameron or Cammy or something, would solve mysteries, I think. I remember the kid would had a photographic memeoey, he would take pictures and would always say. "Click, Click" or something like that.

Maybe the Cam Jansen books by David A. Adler? The first book is The Mystery of the Stolen Diamonds.
