Do you want to start this soon? ^^ We can even start reading without schedule and comment the book in spoilers as we did with Six Crimson Cranes, if that's okay with you~
Sorry, I got a bit carried with watching reels today 😅 I'm trying to get the audiobook because that makes the reading easier for me, but if not then I'll start it tomorrow.
Wanna start with 5 chapters? Latter we could see how we'll actually read.

Good luck with finding it! I've tried listening to audio books but I always start thinking about other things and stop listening haha

I found it :D I can listen to the book and do other things without my mind drifting, but I usually read along.

So. I started it and... I have no idea how the previous book ended.. hopefully i'll figure it out, or figure most of it.
Bastien and Ailesse's love had a bit of "sense" because of the amourie thing, but now it just sounds a bit insta-lovey.
So... 😅 I read the first 5 chapters.. and then continued. My next chapter is 13. It's really easy to read and I like that. I'm also intrigued to see what'll happen with the characters and the situation that's happening.
I'm gonna wait for you to catch up, because otherwise I might speed read it 😅 and that's not how I wanna do my BRs.

And for what I remember, though you probably guessed by now, the Prince took Ailesse, and the group of friends tried to enter the Palace and sneak her out.
I've forgot about other problems though, if they didn't worked them out on the previous book or not lol
Nooooo, I'll read it on the weekend too, but I may slow down.. I like doing mostly nothing on weekends because I have more time.
I have to read the Witcher stories, I stated the book at the beginning of the month and haven't picked it up in about 10 days 😅 so that's probably what I'm gonna do today
Yeah, the story told me what was going on.. although I don't remember why Ailesse accepted to stay with the prince... and their *thing* annoys me but I'll complain about it a bit more when you get to it

Well, the story seems as complicated as the first book hahaha And includes a kidnap! Woohoo, jackpot!
Yeah, it's so easy to read, and there's a lot of action.
I have a lot of thoughts about the characters.
Aillesse seems less brave than on the first book. Bastien hasn't changed haha
BUT my biggest disappointment is with Sabine. I liked her a lot on the first book, though she wasn't the typical brave character. But here... It seems she really doesn't think about any consequences: fleeing the castle, the bridge, killing the viper and the deer... They tell it's because of the golden jackal's bone, but I think she's going mad on her own.
Now that Ailesse is free, maybe she can put some sense in Sabine or something.
Do you have any theories about the bond between Ailesse and Cas? Will she kill him?
I think the tradition was interpreted in the wrong form, and I believe there's a way where none of the parts will be killed but bonded. Maybe a blood pact or something like that.
But it seems there are more problems apart from that lol.
Honestly I wasn't that fond of Aillesse in the first book either.. so her character is meh to me.. But her bond with Cas annoys me so much. Because on one hand she "loves" Bastian (I wouldn't really count it as love since they've known each other for a very little time) and was so convinced he's her amourie, but now she's blushing and what not over Cas. Gaah.
Yeah, Sabine is.. having a crisis 😅 I wouldn't be surprised if she indeed was going crazy because her life not the bone. we shall see.
I haven't read today, kinda got sucked into catching up with series.. but tomorrow is the day.

It seems her attraction to Cas is more physical than Bastien's.
Maybe love is not the word but attracted to each other? Something like that.
What annoys me too is that the nonBone Criers (Jules and Bastien) know a lot of Bone Criers, and it seems a bit out of character. I know they understood a lot on the first book, but...
Anyway, I'd like to know how the story will go rfom now on. Maybe I'll read a bit more later too~

I got pulled into a Korean dramas hole on Sunday, and yesterday, so I didn't read. To be honest if I hadn't made myself read first and watch dramas after that, today would've been another no read day.
I'm curious what Odiva really plans. Does she really want to help her daughters or does she want to save Sabine's father.
It's great that no love is happening, it's making things less complicated, but what does Ailesse really want? I get that she is convinced that she needs to be matrone, but from all things it just sounds that she wants it because that's what she's been fed through out the years.
Next chapter to read: Sabine 20

I don't know about Odiva, but she really seems a manipulative person. Maybe in reality she's Tyrus? Or possesed by the god? Because she's using both of her daughter's weaknesses...
Well, we will see on the ferrying chapter what will happen.
I'm sure Ailesse would be a good matrone, but she would prefer to travel the world, as she said before. And I'm not really sure what she wants with Cass nor Bastien x'D For the moment it will be posponed, or so I think. What I'm really afraid is for what Cass will do now that she "rejected" him.

OK no. (view spoiler)
I love the "Oh, you gonna love the next chapters... ok no" 😂😂
I'm gonna try read and finish it tomorrow or Sunday.. I've dragged it out enough

You are right, these chapters are really eventful and I enjoyed them.

I though the same about the blacksmith and the lady! But it seems they are the gods son and daughter... I love their story though <3
I'm on chapter 33,when Sbaine is poisoned and Ailesse is watching them. I'll try to finish it tomorrow, because aaaah I want to know more!

Well, I'm just 80% sure about that x'D
Last night I couldn't stop reading it, I just had to finish it 😂
When she threatened Cas with a knife in Beau Palace I was ooooh, I see something and I want more of it.. but also she, Sabine, mentioned that on the bridge (book 1) she thought he was her amoure. And yes they are soooooo cute.
I think I said, or at least I think I had this thought about book 1, that I enjoy Sabine's chapters more than Ailesse's and that hasn't changed.

I'm glad they all had a happy ending, though I didn't expect Jules so sacrifice for good. I thought that maybe she would come back.
I love how the relationships kept changing during the series <3 I think it was nice and I like how they're written. Also how it was action packed and with little descriptions -duh, I hate them.
But another think I missed from the 1st book is that they didn't put the moon phases on the titles. It helped me a lot to know when the action was happening.
Now that they know they can have graces without having to kill the animals, I picture them like pokemon trainers lol with three animals each following them everywhere. I expected the little salamander to appear on Sabine's head or so, but it didnt :(
Woohoo!
yeah, it's nice it resolved nicely. I'm also happy this is just a duology and didn't get one more book.
Well Jules was very weak and what kind of life would've she had?
Pokemons 😂
