This book featured a young girl who finds out she is a witch and crosses a wall/hedge to learn magic. I think some of her family also had magic. I remember she has red hair and it had a black cover. Read in the early 2000's and probably published then or 90's. I think it had 3/4 in the series with similar covers. (Not little witch or the worst witch)
