14 -- A Character With Superhuman Ability
Peter and The Starcatchers - Reread this one from many many years ago when I was in middle school- it could also fit for that prompt!
Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy fits this category and was an amazing novel! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For we are Many. It is the second book in the “Bobiverse” series. Calling the main characters superhuman may be a stretch as they are all space drones controlled by copies of a human mind. But each one has talents that I would consider superhuman, including being immortal.
I read a book called "The Italian Island" by Daniela Sacerdoti about a girl that looks at an old object and can project herself into the past. It works for me so I used it for this prompt.
I have the book “follow me to ground” in my tbr pile. The main character can heal illness with her hands
I just finished a book that has lingered on my bookshelf for years. The main character is a wizard - being able to perform magic sounds pretty superhuman to me.
Storm Front
I’ve just finished If Cats Disappeared From The World by Genki Kawamura. It contains ‘the Devil’ who will make something disappear in exchange for granting the narrator an extra day of life. It’s definitely a thought-provoking read.
I just finished Hot Flush by Rosy Fenwicke. Its main character is a woman who develops super powers of a sort while she goes through menopause!
I read Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs. The MC can change into a coyote and has heightened senses and strength even in human form.
No Place like Oz by Danielle Paige.Dorothy herself starts using magic because of her new magic shoes.
I was waiting for this prompt! I am so excited because thanks to this I am starting the A Court of Thorns and Roses series!
I read Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky (the Stalkers in it are genetically affected during their time in the Zone and their children carry the mutant gene).
I read The Little Shop of Found Things by Paula Brackston. I loved this! It was a bit of magical realism and contemporary and historical fiction all in one.
I read Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots -- really enjoyed it, 5 stars, though could have done without the body horror ...
Unfated Mates by Lexis Talonis - I was given an ARC through Netgalley for this book. A werewolf and a human OH MY
The Perils of Paris: a Provence Cozy Mystery - Ana T. Drew 1/4/22https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I read Unbury Carol. Carol "dies" but she's never really dead, she goes into a coma and then wakes up.

What is superhuman? The dictionary definition of superhuman is “having or showing exceptional power or skills.” These are abilities that exceed those normally found within humans. These could be acquired naturally, through study, or by aid of technology.
For this prompt, you could choose a superhero comic, a novel about a character with powers, a biography on an Olympian, a non-fiction book about modern geniuses, etc. The character with superhuman abilities could be the protagonist or an antagonist, a main character or a minor one.
