Beth Stewart | 644 comments I am finding the story is weak. For example, new girl In the ABC gang finds out next shipment is Saturday and bang, guard is arrested on Saturday in the parking lot and now the gangs plans have changed

Gee, if you were in the gang would it not occur to you that you tell the new member about a deal on Saturday and bingo! Arrest! First time that's happened? What has changed? The new member?

Beth Stewart | 644 comments On the positive side, i did finish this book. It was an OK read.

The story line was weak for me.
a) it would take longer than a week to infiltrate a prison gang especially when news had gotten around that there had been an undercover policewoman in the prison just recently.
b) the ABC manage to conceal a shank each and Mel has a supply of razor blades. I would have thought at least one of these would have been found on routine cell check. And lets not forget Mel's stash of drug paraphernalia
c) i don't believe F. Lee/Amber would have gone un-recognized by other inmates even if dressed as a guard.
d) Bailey jumps to conclusions -- first it was Terry based on one episode, then it was Dylan. And to me, the governor with his extravagent tastes in boats was a give-away right at the start.
e) Bailey was put in the prison to work on the drug connection which becomes a non issue as the majority of her effort revolves around the murders. Am sure the drug squad would have been asking where is their money going (and i do realize that her boss "put them off" but that didn't ring true to me, either)

and 100+ chapters? Really??

All in all, i would give this 2-stars as an OK read but I won't be picking up an sequels which i am sure are coming.
