Come here to share your no-specifics-all-vague thoughts on our scifi pick!

For spoilers and general discussion, go to the full discussion thread.

For an added bonus, Sarah has agreed to answer questions in the Q&A thread! Possible spoilers there as well.

Ellen | 940 comments Picked this up last night just to check it out. Next thing I knew I was finished with Part 1 and it was past my bedtime. Short easy to read chapters and I love the family.
This is the We Are Satellites discussion thread and not The Quantum Magician?

Anna (vegfic) | 10464 comments I think Allison got work-busy before she finished changing the folder name! You're in the correct thread :)

edit: And now it's fixed! :D (Just as I posted this.)

That's what I thought .
Thank you and Anna for all your work on the board.

DivaDiane SM | 3717 comments I am able to read this on Scribd, so I plan to pick it up as soon as I'm finished with the latest Becky Chambers.

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) | 610 comments A very interesting concept for a plot!

Bonnie | 1290 comments So far seems short on science fiction and long on the family time... but a pleasant read.

Anushree | 14 comments I will start reading now. I am still not sure about the plot

Banshee (bansheethecat) | 230 comments I started the audiobook 2 days ago and I'm already more than 30% in. It's definitely nice and easy to go through, and I'm having a good time. I like the family dynamics so far, but I hope there will be more science later on.

Mrs S E White | 6 comments Started, most of the way through now, a good easy read. The relationships are realistic, looking forward to see how it ends

Christopher | 981 comments I'm pretty sure I'd not be an early adopter of a technology like this. I'm still wary of lasik and how long has that been out? I'm just fine over here with my glasses & contacts, thank you.

Enjoying the soft scifi element and the juxtaposition with current biomed concerns.

Mindy | 500 comments I am 150 pages in and really enjoying the story! I love the scenes of family life and how the stories of the characters really demonstrate the many personal implications of the science fiction elements.

Meredith | 1819 comments Just getting started on this. Finished Part 1. I like the characters as we are learning about them and how the family dynamics are developing. Also, I'm surprised to find some personal resonance as I was thinking about how my niece and nephew (both teens) would fit into this world, and how they kind of align with the two kids in the story (though not identical to them).

DivaDiane SM | 3717 comments I just started this too. I’m listening and finding the two adult women a bit hard to distinguish, but I think I’ve got it now. I’m on the 5th or 6th chapter now and really enjoying it. It is very relatable.
