Reahana (reahanaj) Find a quick paced book! ‘A good girls guide to murder’ is one of my favorites :)

Paige_1272 | 32 comments Yes I definitely agree with Reahana, find a good fast paced book. I highly recommend the Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes or Legend by Marie Lu.
Or, just re-read a book that you already know you love.

Watching a bunch of booktoks and adding a ton to my TBR motivates me too LOL

Nicole | nikiashreads (nikiash620) | 5 comments Something that helps me is watching BookTok or BookTube. There's something about seeing other people get excited about reading that gets me in the mood to also read. 😊 (Although there is the danger of adding more titles to your TBR.)

I also like picking up a guilty pleasure or one of my favorite books to re-read. Throwing myself into a story that I know will make me feel good (or excited to read again) is a great way to get out of a slump.

Another thing that helps is knowing what type of reader you are—do you like reading through your TBR in a set order, or do you prefer reading based on your mood? I recently discovered that I'm a mood reader, so I have to read in the genres that I, well, am in the mood for. It used to be only fantasy, but I've gotten swept up in the spicy book trend lately. 😂

A last resort option would be to take a trip to the bookstore—which I know can be dangerous. But browsing books, picking out something new, or seeing what's recently been released and/or is trending can be really helpful too! Who knows, maybe you'll discover that hidden gem that'll get you out of the reading slump.😀

Read a really short book or an audiobook

sid :) (sidrg) | 12 comments definitely an easy or faced paced book, for me probably a good girls guide to murder or one of us is lying. if not you should try something humorous or short always helps

Sophieschapter | 1 comments Yeah i agree, def a fast paced book, but don’t force yourself through it if you’re not enjoying it. Maybe it could also help to reread a (fast paced) book that you really liked when you read it first?

belen | 17 comments when i started reading six of crows i was in a reading slump, tbh it was the biggest one so far and when i tell you i couldn’t put down the book i’m not lying. idk if it was just for me but it helped a lot to start reading again
