Hello!I am interested in joining this round with my book Chase of the Rising Sun. Hope it would be a fit, it is a work work of fiction.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Welcome Colin - I am assuming your query was over fiction being a fit not the 'Clean' label? if you are in any doubt about the latter please let me know.
Colin has reviewed the content of his book and decided it would not be fully appropriate for the round, so has asked to leave it.
Him I see you need books, I have a new book out. No sex or violence but some fbombs and a few other swear words. Also happy enjoyment of beer and marijuana
It looks like Laura has reviewed Mary and Denis.
I think those are the only other conflicts for Laura. If Mary is moved to spot 8, Laura put in spot 3 and Denis, Leam, Henryan, and Kim moved down one spot, could that work?

Here it is: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...The main character is a teen, but it is not a YA book. My target audience is adults. There's no sex or violence but the story is built around Bob Dylan's "To live outside the law, you must be honest." So it is not exactly the promotion of conventional values. There's references to recreational use of marijuana and alcohol in the context of approval of both. One of the characters habitually swears.
Hi, Laura. Here again is a look at the qualifications for “Clean”
“No explicit violence or explicit sexual situations. If you have to wonder if an aspect of your book could be considered offensive, this is probably not the group for you!”
If your book doesn’t have explicit violence or explicit sexual scenes it fits the qualifications of this round. And there’s no reason you couldn’t join provided you can fit. But keeping in mind the second part of that paragraph, I can understand your hesitation if your book has scenes that may be considered offensive, and you worry some readers might rate your book more poorly because they expect something that doesn’t have offensive material at all.
If you want to join, and EM can fit you in, and your book fits the basic qualifications, there shouldn’t be any reason you couldn’t join if you still want to.
But you do need to change your personal settings so that you can message other members of the round. Right now, you’re not set to be able to message other people.

Laura, and everyone, make sure you can send and receive private messages. Go to this link:

Scroll down that page, and where is says “Who can send me private messages” make sure that “anyone” is checked.

Okay I am in. And yes I am a bit worried that someone will rate me down for material not fit for a YA book. So..well I hope people keep in mind that the definition of clean is the absence of sex and violence. Those are alluded to but not described. Thank you everyone. ANd thanks for the tip about changing settings.
Hi Eleanor and Loralee,I would like to add my philosophical read Existential Rationalism: Handling Hume's Fork to this group, since my reviews for group 296 are all up on Goodreads (still waiting for a few to pop up on Zon). I have no clashes. No explicit sex or violence but also not feel-good happy entertaining fiction– hope to somewhat manage the expectations here: philosophical questions can give some people a bit of a headache but tax-return books can do the same, while both are fair entries into this category.
Thank you all and looking forward to reading! Marcel

Hi! I’d like to join with my Asbury High and the Parcels of Poison. It’s book 2 on a cozy mystery young adult series. I haven’t read any book listed yet!
Welcome Marcel, please keep checking back frequently both for any clashes and to see if the round has progressed.Laura _ really sorry, but after all that I can't see any way to fit you in. Loralee's suggestion unfortunately doesn't work as there are other clashes. However a spot just opened in the 18+ round if you were able to fit?
Kelly - I am happy to add you but first you need to follow the instructions in Message 2 on this thread and ensure you can be PMd and give a complete list of all your review clashes with others already in the group.
I have reviewed Denis ... so my position in # 9 looks like a conflict, or have I misunderstood things again
Mary wrote: "I have reviewed Denis ... so my position in # 9 looks like a conflict, or have I misunderstood things again"It's OK as he has other books you can review and he is 'below' you so in the place where you will review him again :)
1. Sadhana Wadhwa Okay2. S.D. Brown I reviewed one of her books
3. Denis Roubien I reviewed one of his books
4. Leam Hall okay
5. Henryan Arkson Okay
6. Kim T.S. Okay
7. Marcel Eschauzier Okay
8.
9. Mary E. Hughes I have reviewed all of her books!
10. Loralee Evans SHe has reviewed me, I believe.
These groups are getting a bit incestuous.
Laura wrote: "These groups are getting a bit incestuous."They are. We need more new blood! Invite all your friends when the next rounds open :)
The issue is that as well as your clashes there are of course everyone else's. Which means before I can move anyone I have to make sure doing so doesn't create more clashes :(
I anticipate opening new rounds very soon, but not until this one is rolling. So if you can be patient, I will PM you and let you know so you don't miss them.
I am being patient. I understand. This group is not a perfect fit for me. I just volunteered to help out.

Mary has reviewed another book of mine. This one has not been reviewed by anyone.
I believe I might fit in that last slot. If so, I'd like to join this round with my children's picture book Bye-Bye Magpie. I've fulfilled my obligations for Group 292 General. My Goodreads book link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
My Goodreads author link: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
I've previously read and reviewed Loralee (a different book) and S.D., both of whom I'd be reviewing in this round, so no clashes there. I've read and reviewed S.D.'s Alabaster Alibi already, but S.D. has other books that I could read. Perhaps the next book in the series?
I don't see any other clashes with anyone.

Welcome S. Lynn!Everyone - now I need everyone to please post to tell me if you have reviewed any of the four people above you on the list (the list wraps around so (10) is 'above' (1) ). Please also check that if you have already reviewed any of the four people 'below' you on the list they have more books available that you have not yet reviewed and post to tell me if they have not.
Remember that you can check if you have reviewed anyone before by going to your reviews through your profile (the link is under your portrait), and searching their name. You can check if someone has reviewed you in the same way through their profile and searching for your name.
Please check all those who are the 4 above and 4 below you.
If you have no review clashes - or if you are scheduled to review someone who you have reviewed before but can see they have another book available just post 'Good to go :)' or words to that effect.
When everyone has posted 'Good to go' we will be :)
If you are new to these rounds do not worry, full instructions will be provided at every stage.
Good to go.The four persons above me have reviewed other books of mine. No clash whatsoever with the rest.
Good to go!S.D., shall I go ahead and review Bloodstone Bludgeon: A Polygamist Murder since I've already reviewed Alabaster Alibi?

Hi Eleanor, all,In the mean time I have published a new edition, in large degree based on the invaluable feedback I received in this group (new cover, blurb, larger fonts in print, minor corrections, but no major changes in the text): this is the new and correct one. Could you please update so that reviews will be done for this edition?
Existential Rationalism: Handling Hume's Fork
Thank you! Marcel

Here's what I found:

Hope it clarifies.

Yes.
The four above you review you. The four below you, you review.
The person five spots from you, is in your blind spot. So Henryan and I will miss each other. And for you, Leam, you and Mary will miss each other.
