First of September, Chapter 24-end

I'm not too far into this final section, but it seems to me that Claire didn't learn a thing after she was attacked, and is still putting herself and others into danger.

I understand that need for these kind of mysteries to have an intrepid protagonist, but this seems to be a little far-fetched. Especially since the Chief FINALLY acknowledges that Addie was murdered.

Yes, the characters who do this type of thing and do not use common sense are usually deemed TSTL (too stupid to live)!!

Esp. when protag goes ALONE to meet with a strong suspect. Duh.

I finished last night and was certainly surprised. The person incorrectly fingered close to the end was my choice. I was so happy I was right! I guess it all made sense, though I have to admit that I lost track early on of who was who and never got back on track.

That was my main issue. Keeping track of everyone. I'm at 92% so I'll finish today.

Yeah, I got part of it but not all. I think I'll keep my sleuthing to the armchair variety. LOL

Finished! And the perp was who I predicted. I read something early in the story that stuck with me. I liked the story but agree that there were waaaay too many characters and lots of editing errors.

I think Clare doesn't have a long life as an investigator is she takes as many risks as she does!
