it’s 11:55 now but my parents are still awake

honestly i think anyone can be brave. bravery isn't inclusive to just Gryffindor.

in fact, the entire Hogwarts house system is terrible. they sort people when they are 11. no one forms a concrete opinion by that age. and all like minded people are put together, and we are meant to call them out 'family'.
this indirectly is teaching them to only friend people who think and act like you, when we should be teaching the opposite-to be inclusive of everyone.

yeah i agree. it teaches kids to value a specific trait above all other, and if you don’t display the characteristic of your ideal house, then that’s bad for you. and people change!!! it’s a creative idea but would never hold up in real life.

it also is odd bec of the amount of house rivalry that exists. bec of this, the kids are indirectly being taught that they can't be friends with people who think differently and if someone opposes your opinion, then they are your enemy.

and Slytherin is treated in a horrible way in this series, where all the 'bullies'' and 'evil' people are Slytherins. there are barely any 'good' Slytherin characters. it makes no sense, bec ambition and determination are such an admirable trait. #Slytheindeservedbetter
