SOLVED. YA Science Fiction book with very vague details... society where people have to wear a bracelet/id tag. [s]

So I remember like 4 things about the book... and that's it. First of all I think the cover had an Ombre orangey-yellow sunset, with a tall building on it. Second of all, I think the beginning of the book started with a girl getting off of an elevator for work or something. Third of all, everyone wears bracelets (maybe?) and it's illegal to take them off. And 4th of all, she goes on this mad chase trying to run after this boy who isn't wearing his bracelet. I think she was running through some room with a lot of pipes? I read this book a long time ago, maybe 4-7 years ago? Please let me know if you know anything about it, I'm desperate -_-

Adult book or kids? Lonf, short, middling? When did you read it, and do you have a sense of whether the book was old or new at the time?

I think that the book was new, it seemed pretty modern, between 2015 - 2019, think it was a dystopian ( they were very popular at that time ) It was a chapter book, maybe 200-400 pages? It was young adult I think.

Yes, maybe 16 or 17?

Mmmm... I don't think so. The cover doesn't look familiar, and I don't think it was about finding 'perfect matches', although that book sounds a lot like the Matched series
