Abigail Manning (abigailmanning) | 1 comments Hello all!
My name is Abby and I'm looking for an editor for the first book in my fairy tale retelling series. My completed story is a retelling of snow white and is geared towards young adults/teens. It is mainly a romance, but with a touch of fantasy in the world. The manuscript is just under 70,000 words and I intend to create five books total for the series. I'm looking moslty at line editing, but am open to other options depending on price points. If this is something that interests you I would love to speak with you! Thank you!!

Carol Tietsworth | 203 comments I am an experienced copy editor and professionally trained proofreader. I have an affinity for the written word. When I copy edit for a client, I give them all I’ve got.
In addition to the copy editing, I will proofread the work if it is warranted, and even make suggestions of different words or groupings to hone and clarify the work. I will keep your voice because it is not my work, it is yours.
I offer a free 500-word sample, three complete passes where I read every word, and a quick turnaround. After the sample, I charge .004/word USD, I require half the fee upfront, and the remainder when I send your work back to you.
I am meticulous, based somewhat on the 15 years of being a litigation paralegal in a former life. I will copy edit any genre and will not turn away erotica, horror or violence, as long as it is a necessary part of the work, and makes sense. Otherwise…
Please contact me through my Facebook page, Editing by Carol Tietsworth, or at my Yahoo address legal2b@yahoo.com
* All fees stated are in US Dollars

Dear Abby, (I always wanted to say that!)

I'm a seasoned comprehensive editor with years of experience, and have even edited YA fairy tale retellings previously. My rates are very low (lower than any other editors I know!), because my goal is to help indie authors break the stigma for typos and errors without breaking their pocketbooks. If you are interested in hearing more, please message me, and we can discuss the details. I tried to message you, but was informed that you were not accepting messages.

My work is comprehensive, and it includes everything from spelling and grammar, to continuity within a work or series, to fact-checking and accuracy. Writer's Digest has given my editing five stars, and every one of the authors I've edited for has been more than satisfied with the results.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Daisy

P.S.
January 1st, 2022, my rates will be going up slightly due to the rising cost of living. However, you can lock in my current rate any time before then.
