Lars Erik Grambo Andy Weir's books all seem to be written as independent stories. But what if they aren't?

I have read The Martian, Artemis and Hail Mary, and while there seem to be some inconsistencies for them to be on the same timeline, I think I can explain an overall timeline.

First story to happen, is The Martian. Artemis base is a seperate project underway concurrently, and perhaps even delayed due to the Watney-rescue effort.
Then the Astrophage arrives.
A retrofit for Hermes would have been considered, but its structure would be deemed as unable to handle a constant 1.5g over 4 years.
Following the launch of Hail Mary, a new norm eventually settles. Interest in colonizing Luna and Mars spikes.
Astrophage is used en masse on earth to heat greenhouses, and other energy needs, settling Earth close to a pre-astrophage norm.
This however means that little, if any, astrophage is regularly shipped to Luna and Mars.
The events of Artemis occurs in the time between Dr. Grace departure to Tau Ceti, and the return of The Beatles.

All the political backstabbing in Artemis fits with a society living under the norm of the sun dimming.

This also explains why astrophage and the sun dimming were not mentioned in Artemis. It was already the norm, common knowledge.

How's this? Any collisions with established lore? Any suggestions for improvement?
